Using Kodi enables you to stream all your favorite content from the internet; but is it safe to use without breaking any laws?
The Kodi application is software designed to stream content on your Android Media Box and by itself is completely legal.
But…
Many of Kodi’s add-ons deliver free content you generally have to pay or subscribe to view. Kodi is commonly used to stream pirated Live TV streams, movies, and music. Watching (or listening) to copyrighted content without the copyright owner’s permission is definitely not legal.
Will I get into legal trouble using Kodi?
While using the Kodi app on your Android Media Box is legal, you could get into trouble if you are caught using the app to stream copyrighted content illegally.
Can I be tracked using Kodi?
Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) can monitor your online activity. VPN services can help protect your usage by hiding your personal data, but governments may be able to see your activity even when using a VPN.
